Borgemoen, Marwell "Marv (13 July 1917 - 26 Nov. 2007)

Marwell Borgemoen

Marwell "Marv" Borgemoen, 90, of Weston, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Cedar Creek Manor.

He was born July 13, 1917, in Curtiss, son of the late John and Manda (Floden) Borgemoen. Marv married Julia Hnatko on Oct. 7, 1944, in Lublin. In 1934, he worked as a cattle herder in South Dakota. Marv joined the CCC camps from 1937-1938 in Perkinstown. He worked for various farmers in Wisconsin. Marv went to Chicago for one week of vacation and stayed there for 40 years working for American Flange Co., retiring in 1980 and moving back to Wisconsin.

Marv enjoyed being a member of the Men's Club, Sons of Norway and AARP. He enjoyed bowling and square dancing. In his leisure time he spent time gardening and woodcrafting.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Borgemoen of Weston; sister, Bernita Jaskela of Spearfish, S.D.; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Victor Borgemoen.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson St., Weston. The Rev. Raymond Connor will officiate. Burial will be held at St. Paul's Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, Curtiss, Wis. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
