North, Janet (Marriage - 6 Aug. 1943)
Mr. and Mrs. Herman E. North of Neillsville announce the marriage of their daughter Janet to Walter G. Pree, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pree of Milwaukee, Wis., on the afternoon of August sixth, at Delray Beach, Florida. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Robinson in the First Presbyterian church of that city.
The engagement occurred the preceding year on the fifteenth of August, and the date being the marriage anniversary of her parents.
The bride attended Milwaukee Downer College for two years and graduated in 1941 from the University of Wisconsin, where she became a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Since her graduation she has been employed at Head-quarters, Truax Field, Madison, by the special orders department.
The groom was graduated from the Bay View High School in Milwaukee. He attended radio school at the extension division of the University of Wisconsin, and was a radio operator at WEMP, Milwaukee, Wis., and WMT at Cedar Rapids, Ia. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Wisconsin and was a radio operator at WHA. He was connected with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Cambridge, Mass., and is at present a field engineer with the Western Electrical Company of New York. He recently returned from England, where he was doing special war work for that company. The couple will reside in Delray Beach, Florida, for the present, which being the place Mr. Pree is now stationed.
