N. W. Pine Valley - by Mrs. Arthur Ackerman
Claire Smale has sold his farm near the Pine Valley mount to John Strangfeld, who will take possession next spring. At present Mr. and Mrs. Herb Miller are renting the farm. The buildings are equipped with electric lights and running water. A new and modern barn was built a few years ago when the old one burned down. Claire came to Clark County nearly 23 years ago from Iowa. In 1927 he married Miss Angeline Miller, who sends regards to their old friends and neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Smale are living near West Union, Ia., where they are working two farms. Claire says he has 83 acres of corn planted, and it is too big to cultivate.
Robert Knoop is going to Chili to help his uncle, Louie Knoop, during the haying season.
Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson and children of Grant Township were callers at the Joe Marth home to see their new nephew, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard**Rest cut off**
