Kleckner, Mary "Olive" (18 Nov. 1863 - 24 Aug. 1943)
Mrs. Olive Kleckner, 79, passed away at her home at 171 West Fifth Street, Neillsville, on August 24, at 4 a.m., after an illness of five months. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, from the resident at 2 p.m., the Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial will be in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Mary Olive Skippens was born to Alfred and Sarah Skippens in Schoolcraft, Mich., on Nov. 18, 1863, and has been a resident of Clark County 34 years.
The deceased was educated in the rural schools, where she later taught, until married on Sept. 4, 1888, to John L. Kleckner. To this union were born two children, Alfred and Everett. While in good health, she was a member of the Monday Progress club, of which she served as president. Until her recent illness her day’s work at home was never so long but that she found some time to improve her mind.
She is survived by her husband, J. L. Kleckner, and two sons.
