Burkhardt, Otto C. (1892? - 4 Feb. 1944)
Otto C. Burkhardt, a former citizen of Colby, died on Feb. 4th, in Chicago, at the age of 53 years, after an illness of several years duration. Internment was made in Sheboygan Falls, the birthplace of his wife.
Mr. Burkhardt was born on a farm near Curtiss and lived in Colby while he operated a store here for about ten years. He married Adelia Knoll of Milan and worked for the Soo Line, Chicago station, since 1916.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, Fredericka Burkhardt, three children, Mrs. Robert McCarten, Robert Burkhardt, overseas in the service of the U.S.A., and Warren Burkhardt; one brother, Arnold Burkhardt; three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Coleman, Mrs. Jas. Hope and Mrs. George Herzoy.
