Evenson, Anna (25 Dec. 1870 - 14 Apr. 1944)
Mrs. Anna Evenson died at her home in Unity Friday morning at 12:30 at the age of 74 years after an illness of eight months.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, where the body had been lying in state, followed by services at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Wis. Pall bearers were L. H. Vogt, George S. Cook. Wm. Creed, T. R. Salter, Sam Stark and Elmer Langjahr. Internment was made in Crandon Monday.
The deceased was born in Nogbelegaard, Nykerke, Norway, on Dec. 25, 1870, and came to Unity in June 1893. She was married on May 22nd, 1894, to Christian Evenson who died on Sept. 28, 1937. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Rebekah lodge.
Surviving are three children, Alvin S. Evenson of Hiles, at present a patient at the Marshfield hospital, Martin E. Evenson of Unity and Mrs. Rakph (Lillie) Davis of Redmond, Ore., who had been in Unity the past few months caring for her mother. Also, two sisters, Mrs. Magda Bergstrom of Chicago and Mrs. Theresa Olson of Drammen, Norway, two grand children and two great grand children.
