Hause, Lillian (28 Nov. 1871 - 1 May 1944)

Mrs. Lillian Hause died at her home in Unity Monday night at 10:45 o’clock at the age of 72 years, five months and four days. She had been ill three years with heart trouble. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Unity Methodist church, Rev. M. B. Ferguson officiating. The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home.

Lillian Sheldon was born on November 28, 1871, at Dundee and married Sam Hause at Spencer on June 24, 1888. They made their home in this vicinity ever since.

Surviving are her husband, four sons, Chester of Hammond, Ind., Ray of West Allis, Vernon of Fond du Lac and Howard of Colby; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Clark of Owen, Mrs. Lida Steck of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. May Severson of Greenwood, and Mrs. John Fuller of Unity; two brothers, Oren Sheldon of Melford, Sask., Canada, and Chester Sheldon of Wausau; eight grand children and one great grandchild. One son, William, died in October, 1926, and one sister and one brother also preceded her in death.

The deceased was a member of the Rebekah lodge, a good Christian and always endeavored to perform her duties to the best of her ability. She was of a friendly disposition and well-liked by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Hause, whose death was reported last week, were held last Thursday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home and at the Unity Methodist church, Rev. M. B. Ferguson officiating.

Pall bearers were Anton Korntved, Tom Loughead, Martin Evenson, Paul Mais, Otto Erickson and Albert Wieland. The flowers were in charge of Mrs. M. B. Evenson, Mrs. Ted Salter, Mrs. Ed Peterson, Mrs. Art Salter, Mrs. S. A. Cook and Mrs. Ed. Melander. The Rebekahs had charge of the services at the funeral home.

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hause of Hammond, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hause and daughter, Florence, of West Allis, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hause of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Paul Nielson of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hause of Colby, Mrs. Ray Severson of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruprecht, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fuller of Wausau, Rev. and Mrs. Floyd Fahlgren and children and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brandt and daughter of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Nolle and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schuette and daughter of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson of Cherokee.
