Abbotsford - May, 18, 1944
Mrs. J. F. Samson returned Thursday from Minneapolis where she spent the past week with her daughter and family.
H. O. Zink, August Weideman and John Schefsick spent several days in Milwaukee where Mr. Zink attended a mortician’s convention, Mr. Schefsick visited relatives and Mr. Weideman visited his daughter, Frieda.
Miss Betty Cheritan of Marinette visited several days with her mother, Mrs. Cecelia Cheritan.
The Clovernook school closed with a picnic May 9th. Mrs. Robert Bogaard, the teacher, has been engaged again for the coming year.
Mrs. Henry Voightlander left on Wednesday night, May 10th, for Milwaukee for medical treatments.
The Riverside school closes today, May 18th, with a picnic. Miss Lucianne Chris will teach the school again next year.
Steve Chris left for his home at Mercer after visiting his mother, Mrs. Frank Chris.
Mrs. George Kelly and three children returned from Green Bay where Mrs. Kelly spent the past month visiting her parents and other relatives and friends.
