STROKE FATAL TO HOTEL PROPRIETOR
John B. Thompson, 68, Abbotsford, Dies at Home Yesterday
Abbotsford--John B. Thompson, proprietor of the Thompson hotel for the past 30 years, died at 2:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, as the result of an apoplectic stroke. He had been in ill health for the past year.
Mr. Thompson was born on Jan. 19, 1868, in Shawano county. Before he engaged in the hotel business he was a conductor for the Wisconsin Central railway company. He was a member of the Eagles lodge.
Surviving him are his wife, Edith Thompson, two daughters, Mrs. Adeline Anderson, Alton, Ill., and Mrs. Irene Nelson, Abbotsford; two sisters, Mrs. Gusta Tronson, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Chris Davik, Neenah; and one brother, George Thompson, Dale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home, and at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian church. Rev. L. C. Smith will officiate, and burial will be in the Abbotsford cemetery.
