Nelson, Dorothy Mae (Marriage - 15 June 1944)

Dorothy Mae Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Nelson of Abbotsford, Wis., and Franklin F. Thieme of Curtiss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thieme of Colby, will exchange marriage vows this Thursday afternoon, June 15th, at 2:30, before the altar of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran church at Curtiss, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the marriage ceremony. The bride chose for her wedding a white satin gown with full overskirt of sheer ninon, sweetheart neckline, long full length sleeves, finger tip veil of illusion net caught in a tiara of seed pearls. Her bouquet consists of pink and white roses and swansonia.

The bridesmaids, Miss Marjorie Marshall of Cadott and Miss Blanche Genrich of Dorchester, chose identical dresses of blue and pink taffeta with a full skirt of sheer ninon with matching headdresses and wrist corsages.

The groom will be attended by Clarence Nelson, brother of the bride, and Arnold Thieme, brother of the groom.

A reception will be given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with white, pink and blue streamers and garden flowers.

The newlyweds will spend several days in Northern Wisconsin after which they will make their home at Curtiss where the groom is engaged in farming.
