John S. Petrauski
OWEN -- John S. Petrauski, 87, Owen, died Saturday Feb. 11, 2006, at Angelus Retirement Community, Neillsville, Wis.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, Wis. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Lublin, with full military rites by Lublin American Legion Post No. 547.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
John was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Chicago to Dominic and Anna (Paskaite) Petrauski. He worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps and served in the U.S. Army from June 22, 1942, to Sept. 18, 1945. John and Irene Galarowitz were married June 15, 1952, in Chicago. She died April 26, 2003. They farmed in the town of Hixon from 1959 to 1979, when they moved to Owen, Wis. For many years he repaired televisions for Otto Engel TV Sales and Repair in Withee, Wis.
John is survived by two stepsons, James (Kathleen) Majka of Naples, Fla., and Gerald (Theresa) Majka of Worth, Ill.; four stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Stella Pawlowski of Arkansas.
