Kozik, Elsie (11 SEP 1940)
A quiet wedding was solemnized at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday, September 11 in the afternoon at the First Evangelical and Reformed Church rectory in Colby, when Miss Elsie Kozik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kozik of Greenwood, became the bride of Elmore Dehne, Colby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dehne, Colby, Wis. The Rev. S. A. Schmiechen performed the ceremony.
The bride was attired in an ensemble of lapis blue with black accessories and a shoulder corsage of roses and gladioli.
Misses Ella and Etta Kozik, twin sisters of the bride, attended their sister; Miss Ella was maid of honor. Both wore identical ensembles of scarab green with accessories in brown, and their corsages were similar to the bride’s corsage.
Arnold Dehne as best man, and Paul Dehne attended their brother. They wore dark green suits and the bridegroom wore a dark blue suit.
Immediately after the ceremony the young couple left on a trip to the Black Hills.
The bride has been employed at Owen the past three years and Mr. Dehne is employed by Frank Hunt, agent for the Standard Oil Company.
Mr. Dehne and his bride will be at home to friends after October 1 in the upper rooms of the Frane apartment.
Best wishes are extended to the newly weds.
