RACINE - Helen Grace (nee: Gregory) Ireland, 80, passed away on Saturday morning, March 4, 2006, at the Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove.

Mrs. Ireland was born in Racine on July 4, 1925, to the late Franklin and Martha (nee: Polzin) Gregory. She was united in marriage to Eugene Ireland in Racine on July 15, 1963, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1989.

Mrs. Ireland had been employed by the A and E Manufacturing Company.

Helen is survived by her brother, Milton (Joan) Gregory of Racine; and four sisters, Mae Mycon of Racine, Arlene (Owen) Haigh, Gloria (Leland) Wirkuty, all of Neillsville, and Pearl (Roger) Wiersum of Racine. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Ireland was also preceded in death by her sister, Myra Strouse; and by her brother, Franklin P. Gregory Sr.

Funeral services will be held in the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday morning, March 9, 2006, at 11 a.m.

Private Burial services will take place later at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends and relatives may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Ireland's family would like to thank the staff at the Oak Ridge Care Center for their kindness, caring, and understanding during Helen's time with them.
