Keller, Herman Carl (14 Oct. 1869 - 7 July 1944)
Herman Carl Keller, age 74, former village treasurer of Abbotsford, died at Abbotsford Friday morning, July 7th, at 2:00 o’clock. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Lutheran church, Rev. John Brandt of Dorchester officiating, and internment was made in the Lynn cemetery.
Mr. Keller was born in Sheboygan county on October 14, 1869, and was married Sept. 18, 1894, to Bertha Schlinsog. After their marriage, they moved onto a farm in the town of Lynn, Clark county. In 1921, they moved to Abbotsford where they conducted a restaurant for four years after which they retired. Mr. Keller was village treasurer for 22 years.
Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. C. H. (Lorna) Schaefer of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ed (Verna) Garbisch, Mrs. Lester (Adeline) Schaefer and Mrs. William (Alma) Lyle, all of Milwaukee, one son, Rollie Keller, of Menasha and one brother, Robert Keller of Madison.
There are also nine grand children and one great grand child. A sister, Kristine Bornhoeft, preceded him in death.
