Martin, Olga (Marriage - 24 Feb. 1945)
Miss Olga Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Martin of Athens, Wis., became the bride of Dallas Powers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Powers of Colby, Rt. 2, in a wedding ceremony performed in the First Methodist church at Colby, Wis., Rev. M. B. Ferguson officiating, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Attendants were the bride’s girl friend, Miss Irene Schneevies, of Athens and Donald Powers of Colby, brother of the bridegroom.
The bride was attired in a gown of rust and gold and her corsage consisted of white and pink roses. Miss Schneevies wore a dress of cocoa brown and her corsage consisted of pink carnations.
A five o’clock supper was served at the home of the groom’s farm.
The bridegroom has a milk route and worked on the farm with his father but now bought a farm south of his father’s. After a wedding trip of a few days, the couple will live on the farm and continue the milk route.
