At a ceremony which took place Friday, Aug. 16, 1940, 7 o’clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miss Ruth E. Parkhill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Parkhill, 306 N. Peach St., became the bride of Jack W. Loveland, son of Dr. and Mrs. H.C. Loveland, 625 W. Fifth St. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. H.P. Toeller officiated at the service in the presence of immediate relatives and friends. The altar was adorned with garden flowers.
A navy blue redingote trimmed in white, worn with white hat with navy trim, and white and navy accessories, was chosen by the bride for her wedding. Her soulder bouquet was of roses and sweet peas.
The bridegroom was attended by James Quinn.
After a wedding breakfast at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loveland left for Milwaukee, where they will spend several days.
Both the bride and bridegroom are graduate of McKinley High School with the class of ’37. The bride has been employed at the McLellan Store for three years, and the bridegroom is employed by the Weinbrenner Co.
They will be at home to their friends after Aug. 20 at 710 ½ S. Cherry St.
