Eileen B. Safemaster
UNITY, WIS. -- Eileen B. Safemaster 75, Unity, died Monday March 13, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday March 17, 2006, at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Wis. Inurnment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Unity, at a later date.
Eileen was born Oct. 3, 1930, to Arthur Sr. and Alvina (Johnson) Edblom. She attended Unity schools. Eileen and Lester Safemaster were married April 7, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, Wis. He died Aug. 7, 1981. She was a homemaker and after her husband's death moved to Las Vegas where she worked as a security guard. She enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Eileen is survived by her children, Judith Krueger of Spencer, Sandra Seiler of Unity, Susan (Dennis) Erickson of Unity, Dennis (Diane) Safemaster of Iron Mountain, Mich., Terrance (Sue) Safemaster of Weedsport, N.Y., Vicki (LeRoy) Oldham of Marshfield and Donald Safemaster of Unity; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Evelyn Alexander of Colby, Ethel Felker of Oshkosh, Arlyn (Zona) Edblom of Colby, Alvin Edblom of Medford, Eleanor Mellenthin of Spencer, Alfred Edblom of Unity, and Gail (Amos) Mainard of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Frieda Meyer Edblom; her husband, Lester; one grandson, Jeremy Safemaster; two brothers, Arthur Edblom Jr. and Arnold Edblom; and one sister, Esther Egnoski.
