Rae Lynn M. "Buzz" Burrington, age 22, of Thorp died at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire on Friday, March 24, 2006.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Stanley, with Pastor Matthew Miklasz officiating. Burial will follow in the town of Butler Cemetery, rural Thorp.

Pallbearers will be Dan Burrington, Brian Burrington, Steve Parent, Sam Link, Charles Lorentz and Jeff Doane. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, at Thorp Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Rae Lynn Marie Burrington was born on March 26, 1983, in Eau Claire to Fred and Marylou (Rowell) Burrington. She was raised in the town of Butler, and received her education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 2002. While attending Thorp High School, Rae Lynn worked at the Silver Dollar in Thorp and at the Corner Pub in Stanley. After graduating from high school, she worked at Menards for one year, and then attended Professional Hair Design School in Eau Claire where she earned her degree in cosmetology. Rae Lynn was presently working at A.J. Manufacturing in Bloomer.

Rae Lynn was involved in Girl Scouts, where she was a Gold Award recipient, FFA, and wore the Thorp Cardinal mascot as a cheerleader. Rae Lynn had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family, her horse, Blaze, fishing, deer hunting and camping.

Rae Lynn is survived by one daughter, Marie Annette Field of Eau Claire; her fiancé, Nathan Field of Eau Claire; her parents, Fred and Marylou Burrington of Thorp; two brothers, Robert "Crabs" Burrington of Thorp and Chad (Nicole) Burrington of Fort Drum, N.Y.; special uncle, Clarence Rowell of Eau Claire; her future father- and mother-in-law, Steven and Barbara Field of Eau Claire; her future sister-in-law, Melissa Field of Eau Claire; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Pirl and Helen Burrington; and her maternal grandparents, James and Gertrude Rowell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to the Marie Annette Field fund.
