Ackerman, Mr./Mrs. George (50th Anniv. - 23 July 1945)
Mr. and Mrs. George Ackerman of Curtiss, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary July 23 with mass at the Holway Catholic church in the morning, open house at their home during the afternoon, and a dance at the Wagon Wheel in the evening.
Mr. Ackerman was born in Bavaria, Germany, Feb. 26, 1870, and came to Stetsonville in April, 1882. His wife was born in Washington county, Wis., Oct. 16, 1871. The couple were married at Medford in 1895, and have three children: Archie and Joseph of Curtiss, and Mrs. Harold (Inez) Ostlund, of Superior. They have eight grand children and three great grandchildren.

Edward Potocnik and Misses Shirley Smith, Marjorie Bublitz, Edna Lube, Bernice Laube, Virgil Bublitz, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Rohn, all of Owen; Walter Boxrucker, Mrs. Martha Harmel, Mr. and Mrs. George Koerner, Mrs. Frank Tonn, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gayken, Mrs. Minnie Gayken, Mrs. Les Bowden, Donald Baumgartner, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Mannikko, all of Curtiss; Mrs. Ann Hampfner, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Gilbertson and son, and Mrs. Joe Yonker, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gosse of Colby; Mrs. Anna Nelson and Mrs. Marvin John and son, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gayken, Minneapolis; Mrs. Alvin Ostlund and Miss Muriel Alenius, Superior.
