Hessel, Paul (20 Jan. 1884 - 11 Apr. 1945)
Funeral services for Paul Hessel who died Wednesday morning at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital after an abdominal operation at the age of 61 years, were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, where the body had been lying in state, and at 2:00 o’clock at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran church in Abbotsford, Rev. J. Brandt officiating. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Pall bearers were Messrs Amacher, Kunze, Gosse, Kesler, Daencke and Knight.
The deceased was born in Germany on Jan. 20, 1884. He leaves his widow, two sons, Howard of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Lawrence of Milwaukee, Wis., and two married daughters, Evelyn and Dorothy, of Chicago. Also one grand child.
