Folsom, Evelyn E. (30 June 1852 - 5 June 1945)
Mrs. Evelyn E. Folsom died of old age complications at 10 o’clock Tuesday evening at Abbotsford at the age of 92 years. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Abbotsford, Rev. George Griffiths of Edgar, pastor of the church, officiating, and internment was made at Dorchester, Wis.
Mrs. Folsom, nee Hazen, was born in Vermont on June 30, 1852. She received her education at Potsdam Normal School, and, after her marriage to Alba W. Folsom in Parishville, N.Y., the Folsoms moved to Taylor county, settling in Little Black. Ten years after their marriage, her husband died. She was a resident of Abbotsford the past six months.
Mrs. Folsom is survived by five children - Howard H. Folsom of Visalia, Calif., Mrs. Winifred Holliday of Medford, Mrs. Myr Hawks of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ferdinand Haack of Abbotsford and Mrs. C. J. Hayden of New York. Also 17 grand children and 36 great grand children. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
