Johnson, Isabel #2 (29 Feb .1912 - 4 June 1945)

Mrs. Justice Johnson died of cancer at her home in Unity Monday night at 9:30 o’clock at the age of 33 years. The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted this Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock followed by services at the Zion Ev. Lutheran church in Colby at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be made in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery at Unity, Wis.

The deceased, the former Isabel Kops, was born in Neillsville on Feb. 29, 1912, and, when an infant, came to Unity with her parents, where she spent the remainder of her life. She attended Unity schools and was married at Colby to Justice Johnson on Nov. 11, 1931.

Surviving are her husband and five children - Lyle, Janet, Robert, Patricia and Lillian. One child died. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Nancy Kops of Unity; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Hudson of Unity, Mrs. Elsie Purkis of Chicago and Mrs. Odella Kurth of Chicago, and two brothers, Herman of Gilbert and Norman in U.S. service in Florida. Her father and three brothers, Otto, Wallace and Henry, preceded her in death.
