Sara W. (Leid) Martin, 78, Owen, died Friday, April 14, 2006, at the home of her daughter. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. at Sunday at Sunny Ridge Mennonite Church, Curtiss, Wis.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the home of Marcus and Sara Nolt, Curtiss, Wis.

Funeral services were also held Tuesday at Martindale Meeting House, Martindale, Pa.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the home of Carl Martin, Martindale, Pa.

Burial was in Martindale Old Order Mennonite cemetery.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family.

Sara was born Dec. 20, 1927, to Aaron and Mary (Weaver) Lead in Caernarvon Township, Pa. She was married to Luke B. Martin. He preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by her children, Luke (Anna Newswanger) Martin of New Enterprise, Pa., Carl (Esther Hoover) Martin of Honey Brook Pa., Louis (Verna Weaver) Martin of Thorp, Marie (Ivan) Stauffer of Ephrata, Pa., and Sara (Marcus) Nolt of Curtiss; 31 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Noah Leid of Elkton, N.Y., Weaver Leid of Ephrata, Pa., Suie Fox of Leola, Pa., Mary (Martin) Hoover of Curtiss and Alice (Walter) Hoover of Narvon, Pa.
