Short, Marie Marion (13 Aug. 1919 - 22 April 2006)

Marie Short

Marie Marion Short, 86, formerly of 2205 Stewart Ave., Wausau, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Wausau Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 13, 1919, in Neillsville to the late James and Ella (Brown) Short. Marie graduated from Neillsville High School. She attended Normal School in Stevens Point where she received her teaching degree. Marie taught in the public schools for 45 years. She was a teacher at John Marshall Elementary School and was presented with a plaque May 2, 1984, for 34 years of devoted services to the boys and girls of Wausau from John Marshall School.

Survivors include her dear friends Theresa Macomber, Wausau, and Jean and Stanley Krutch, Neillsville, Wis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6300 Bittersweet Road, Rib Mountain. The Rev. William S. Bossert will be officiating.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau, is assisting the family with arrangements.
