Eva D. Wolfe
Eva D. Wolfe, 100, of Marshfield, formerly of Spencer, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Wells Nature View CBRF in Marshfield, where she had resided the past four years.
Funeral services for Eva will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal with the Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eva's grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal.
Eva Dorothy Gretzner was born March 10, 1906, in the town of Beaver, Clark County, the daughter of Adolph and Alvena (Luther) Gretzner. She attended Irvine School in the town of Beaver; Loyal High School, graduating in 1924; the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point. She taught school in Clark County for several years.
She was united in marriage to Arthur Wolfe on June 11, 1930, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. She raised three children and then returned to teaching in the Marshfield School District, and was employed there until her retirement.
Her hobbies were farming, fishing, bowling at Loyal and Spencer, quilting, knitting, crocheting, tatting, gardening and playing cards.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the TLCW. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the local senior citizens groups. She will be sadly missed by her children, Darlene (Bob) Langfeldt of Loyal, Dale (Jackie) Wolfe of Marshfield and Marilyn Ruona of DeForest; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1970; two sisters, Gladys Schultz and Violet Haselow; and one great-grandson, Dan Wirtz, in 2003.
Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal assisted the family with arrangements.
