Lucille M. Helmke Robinson
Lucille M. Helmke Robinson, 77, a former town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, resident, entered eternal life Friday, May 5, 2006, at the Marshfield Center, where she had resided since Dec. 10, 2003.
Lucille was born Aug. 8, 1928, in the town of Hull, Marathon County, to William and Lydia (Alexander) Schnabel. She was a 1947 graduate of Stratford High School. She married William H. Helmke on June 6, 1949, in Colby, Wis. He died Nov. 29, 1981. She later married Donald E. Robinson on Aug. 27, 1992, in March Rapids. He died Oct. 17, 2001.
In 1964, Lucille began working in Marshfield at North Parkway Grocery Store, and then at South Parkway Grocery Store until its closing. She later worked at Koller's Supermarket, Marshfield, and at the Greenery Floral Shop in Spencer, Wis.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids, and its Ladies Aid.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Jeanne (Mark) Steinbrecher of Muskego, Debra (Anthony) Sulko of Wausau, and Steven (Rhonda) Helmke of Stratford. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her grandchildren are Jaime Steinbrecher, Adam (Niki) Sulko, Laura (Jason) Pahl and their children, Devin and Justin, Sara Sulko and William (fiancee, Katie Johnson) Helmke.
She is further survived by a sister and three brothers, Lillian (Ronald) Schmidt of Colby, Raymond (Bonnie) Schnabel of Unity, Donald (Rita) Schnabel of Abbotsford, and Marvin (Dixie) Schnabel of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Jessie Robinson of Marshfield; and stepgrandchildren, Echo (Brandon) Means and their children, Jordan and Alexis, and Emily Cattanach and Benjamin Cattanach.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands and a stepson, James Robinson.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. The Rev. Dan Solofra will officiate.
Burial will take place in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be designated in her name to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, March Rapids, or to Northland Lutheran High School, Kronenwetter.
