Polnaszek, Jadwiga (15 MAY 1861 - 16 SEP 1940)
Mrs. Paul Polnaszek, 79, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jos. Kobylarczyk, in the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), Monday morning, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church on Wednesday morning and interment in the parish cemetery. An obituary will be published in the "Courier" next week.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.A. Kulig on Wednesday morning, Sept. 18, 1940, at ten o’clock at St. Hedwig’s Church, for Mrs. Paul Polnaszek, 79, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jos. Kobylarczyk in the town of Withee early Monday, Sept. 16, 1940. Mrs. Polnaszek had been in poor health for some time and suffered a stroke about two months ago.
Jadwiga Kobara was born in Poland on May 15, 1861 and immigrated to America in 1873. She was united in marriage to Paul Polnaszek on Jan. 3, 1885 at Lemont, Ill. She located in Thorp with her husband in 1889, residing on a farm in the town of Withee, Wis.
Surviving are three sons, John of Minneapolis, Thomas of Thorp, and Peter of Chicago, three daughters, Mrs. Jos. Kobylarczyk of Thorp, Mrs. Peter Strzok of Minneapolis and Mrs. Ig. Strzok of Gilman, two brothers, Matt Kobara of Sobieske, Wis., and Joe Kobara of Pulaski.
The remains were laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandchildren of the deceased: Edward, George, Leo and Donald Polnaszek, Harvey Strzok, and Louis Kobylarczyk.
Persons from out of town here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Paul Polnaszek last Wednesday were: Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Carlson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hermes, Joh, Leo and Donald Polnaszek, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strzok and son Harvey, of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Kobara, Pulaski, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. M. Chaplinski, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Strzok, and Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Chaplinski, of Gilman.
