Sozet, Helen (30 OCT 1940)
Mr. James Schmitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Schmitt of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Helen Sozet of Wausau, Wis., were joined in holy wedlock by Father A.M. Muckerheide, in a nuptial high mass at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in this village at 7:30 o’clock last Wednesday morning, Oct. 30th
The bride was attended by the groom’s sisters, Mrs. Alex Neiman and Miss Rita Schmitt, who wore deep peach and peacock blue dresses. Virgil Schmitt and Ray Reese Schmitt attended the groom, all wearing the conventional blue suits.
The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of silk chiffon trimmed with Chantilly lace; her veil had matching lace with a lace cap and headdress of coronet seed pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and white baby chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids carried colonial bouquets to match their gowns.
The wedding breakfast was served to immediate relatives at the home of the groom’s parents after the ceremony.
After a honeymoon trip to Canada and other points, the newlyweds will be at home to their friends at Sparta, Wis., where the groom is in the bakery business. Their many friends join in extending best wishes.
