Biddle, Bernice (2 DEC 1940)
Mr. August C. Hoeper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hoeper of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Bernice Biddle, daughter of Mrs. George Biddle of this village, were united in marriage by Father Ortmayer of Owen, in a ceremony performed at ten o’clock Monday morning at the home of the bride’s mother. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Alois Prock.
Miss Biddle was beautifully attired in a gown of gold faille crepe and wore brown accessories. Her corsage was of yellow pompoms and tea roses. Her bridesmaid was dressed in a teal blue crepe dress with black accessories and carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses and sweet peas. The groom’s suit was of dark brown and his attendant wore navy blue.
A reception, attended by relatives and near friends, followed the ceremony at the Biddle home.
The newlyweds will make their home at Owen, Wis., where the groom is employed as an electrician.
The "Courier" joins their many friends of this community in extending best wishes.
Guests from away who were present at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Adam Path and family of Turtle Lake, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Serley of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weaver of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Biddle of Stanley, Mrs. Roscena Hoeper of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. John Pagel of Reseburg.
