Jasinski, Philip (1842 - 9 NOV 1940)
Philip Jasinski died at the home of Adam Woichulis in the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1940 of old age infirmities. He had reached the ripe old age of ninety-eight years.
Mr. Jasinski was born in Poland in 1842. He was a bright young man and taught school in that country until immigrating to America in 1886 with his wife and family. He resided at Cleveland, Ohio for two years upon arriving here and came to Thorp in 1888, purchasing a farm now owned by his son, Michael. His first wife, Anna Szydlowska, died about twenty-five years ago. Besides his son, Michael, he is survived by one brother, Andrew Jasinski of Thorp, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s National Church at Lublin, Nov. 13, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Polaszewski officiating and interment was made in the Lublin Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Casimer Blachowiak, Michael Lukasiewicz, Stanley Malecki, Ludwik Malecki, Felix Mroz and Jos. Zuzelski.
