MARGARET MUND-SNYDER, 86 BELOVED MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER ROCKFORD
Margaret Mund-Snyder, 86, of Rockford died at 8:55 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in her home after an extended illness.
She was born April 28, 1921, in Stanbury, Wis., the daughter of Otto and Louise Tramm. Lived in Rockford for 50 years, coming here from Neillsville, Wis. Married to Glenn Mund in 1942; he died in 1971. She then married James K. Snyder in 1973; he died in 1998.
She was employed at the Soda Bar Restaurant and the CommonWealth Edison Cafe for several years, retiring in 1998. Member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Harmony Singing Society, Northern Illinois Women's Club, and was a volunteer at the Walter Larson Home for Children.
Survived by sons, Ronald Carl (Kathy) Mund of Rockford, Eugene (Sharon) Mund of Roscoe and Steve Lee Mund of Rockford; daughter, Kathleen Lovins of Rockford; three grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Elmer) Beyer of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Eileen Wheeler of Rockford and Lois Adkins of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; husbands; five sons; and a daughter. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Heartland Hospice for their loving care of their mother. Funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in Wilbur Christenson Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Third Ave., with visitation from 5 p.m. to service time.
Burial in Neillsville Cemetery in Neillsville, Wis.
