Harms, Harriet S. (25 NOV 1940)
A quiet wedding took place at the Alliance Chapel Monday noon, Nov. 25th, 1940, when Harriet Sue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fern T. Harms of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Harold A. Frey, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Frey of the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.), Rev. J.H. Rostad read the service.
The bride was dressed in a gown of blue velvet with a corsage of sweetheart roses. Miss Maxine Harms, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, wearing a gold dress with brown accessories.
Elmer Frey, brother of the groom, acted as best man.
Miss Dorothy Capes, cousin of the bride, played the wedding march.
Those attending the wedding from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Capes and daughter, Lila, Mrs. T.A. Adams and son, Joe, of Longwood; Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Capes and daughters, Betty and Dorothy, and son, Everett, of Unity; Rev. and Mrs. Chapman and daughter, Gladys, and son, Leo, of Loyal; Mrs. Emmett Lewis of Redville; Mrs. Fred Schottler of Withee, Wis.
The young couple left immediately on a short honeymoon trip in Illinois and Indiana. They will make their home on the farm northeast of the city.
