Brandt, Norma (4 MAR 1941)
A late afternoon wedding service, solemnized at the parsonage of the Lutheran Church at Thorp at four o’clock p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 1941, united Mrs. Norma Brandt and Eugene Keskimaki in marriage.
The bride, the daughter of Phillip Mattes of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), wore a street length navy blue ensemble of silk crepe with matching accessories. She carried a bouquet of pale pink roses.
Miss Evelyn Bowen of Withee, her maid of honor, wore a street length dress of gold spun rayon with black accessories and carried a bouquet the same as that of the bride.
The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Arthur Mattes.
A seven o’clock dinner was served to about 70 guests at Madsen’s Hall, which was attractively decorated with pink and white streamers. The table occupied by the newlyweds was ornamented in the center with a huge wedding cake.
That evening a dance was given at Merry Ol’ Gardens.
The groom is employed by the Western Condensing Co. of Owen, but the couple will make their future home at Withee, Wis.
