Withee - Feb. 4, 1892
Engineer Smith, of Marshfield, was in town, Monday, on his way home.
Chas. Hyslip was in town, Monday, getting supplies for his camp.
Gunder Eide has a crew of men busy rolling up logs but if we don’t have a change in the weather soon, log hauling will come to a close.
L. W. Gibson was in town, Saturday, a short time.
Chas. Diten cut his ankle last Thursday while working for Steve Moore, on Black River. He will be laid up for some time.
Joe Gibson and wife started for Canada, and a tour of the eastern states, Sunday night. Joe left Canada when he was only eleven years old and come to LaCrosse. When the war broke out he was one of the first to don the blue and fight for his adopted country. Since the war he has been lumbering and farming.
