Borgemoen, Marwell (13 July 1917 - 26 Nov. 2007)
Marwell Borgemoen, 90, Weston, died Monday, November 26, 2007, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care, and Hospice services at Cedar Creek Manor, Mosinee.
Funeral services were held November 28, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. Burial was held at the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, Curtiss, Wis.
Marwell was born July 13, 1917, in Curtiss to John and Manda (Floden) Borgemoen.
In 1934, he worked as a cattle herder in South Dakota and joined the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp at Perkinstown from 1937-1938. He worked for various farmer in Wisconsin
He married Julia Hnatko on October 7, 1944 in Lublin.
Marwell then moved to Chicago for 40 years working for American Flange Company, retiring in 1980 and moving back to Wisconsin.
He enjoyed being a member of the Men’s Club, Sons of Norway and AARP. Hobbies included bowling, square dancing, gardening and wood-crafting.
Marwell is survived by his wife Julia Borgemoen, Weston and his sister Bernita Jaskela, Spearfish, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Victor Borgemoen.
