Mengel, Kenneth (13 Oct. 1945 - 3 Dec. 2007)

Kenneth Mengel, 62, Withee, died Monday, December 3, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Visitation with family and friends will be at the Maurina Funeral Home on Thursday, December 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday December 7 at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, Wis. Pastor Brian Wepf of First Baptist Church of Medford will preside.

Kenneth was born October 13, 1945 in Withee, the son of Rudolph and Agnes (Anderson) Mengel.

He was a 1964 graduate of Owen-Withee Senior High School. Kenneth married Patricia Santala on August 21, 1954.

Kenneth was employed with various businesses in the area, including the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen and Kramer’s County Market in Abbotsford, Wis.

He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard for ten years and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee, Wis. His hobbies include gardening and caring for his lawn.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Pat Mengel, Withee; one daughter, Kristen (Wesley) Palmer, Milwaukee; one son, Keith (Lisa) Mengel, Athens; five grandchildren; on sister, Lois (Lloyd) Clarkson, Dorchester; and one brother, Robert (Sheryl) Mengel, Lakewood.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rudolph and Agnes Mengel; one brother Richard Mengel; and two sisters, Doloris Neuman and Sandra Weichers.

Maurina-Community Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
