Cournia, Margaret (Marriage - 26 Jan. 1946)
In a ceremony performed in the rectory of the Gesu church of Milwaukee at 11 A.M. January 26 by Rev. Fa. McGalloway, Miss Margaret Cournia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Cournia of Crookston, Minn., became the bride of Melvin Podevels, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Podevels of Colby, Wis.
The bride was attired in a gold suit with brown accessories. Her only attendant, Miss Delores Eichuk, wore a slate green suit with black accessories. Both wore gardenia corsages. The bride also wore a gold cross locket, a gift of the groom. Edward Cournia served as best man.
After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served the bridal party at Mader’s restaurant. Both the bride and groom are employed in Milwaukee and live at 518 N. 19th St., Apt. 1, Milwaukee.
