Paul, Elizabeth Elaine (Marriage - 27 Apr. 1946)

Miss Elizabeth Elaine Paul, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Paul of Dorchester, and Roger E. Colby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Colby of Colby, were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony at the Colby Methodist church Saturday afternoon, April 27th, at 2:00 o’clock, the Rev. M. B. Ferguson reading the marriage ceremony. Corrine Paul, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor and Phyllis Sossaman was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Claude Sossaman as best man and Clyde Paul, the bride’s brother. Mrs. M. C. Prine sang "Always" and "Oh Promise Me." She was accompanied on the organ by Mr. Nelsen.

The bride was attired in a gold suit with brown accessories and a sweetheart locket, a gift of the groom. Her corsage consisted of carnations and roses. The maid of honor wore a blue suit and the bridesmaid an orchid suit. Their corsages also consisted of carnations and roses.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the dining room being nicely decorated with yellow and blue streamers for the occasion. In the evening, a wedding dance was given at Walter’s pavilion in Colby, Wis.

Out of town guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Colby and son, Bert, of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Deitsche of Eau Claire and Mrs. Paul Neuman of California.

The couple will make their home in Colby, Wis.
