Otto, W. G. #2 (23 SEP 1867 - 20 SEP 1940)

After a long illness W. G. Otto of Owen passed away Friday, September 20. Had he lived until September 23 he would have been 73 years old.

Mr. Otto was very well known all through this part of Wisconsin. He was McNess dealer for many years and was much interested in the Lord’s work in this community.

In 1890 he was united in marriage to Alvina Dohlhe, who preceded him in death in 1919.

For three years Mr. Otto was pastor of the Congregational church at Curtiss, Wis. Then in 1908 he suffered a stroke and since then has been a partial invalid.

October 14, 1926 he was united in marriage to Miss Etta Markee, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Markee of this community. To them was born one daughter, Violet, and to the first marriage was born one son and six daughters, as follows: Willard of Watertown, also Mrs. Esther Luebke of Watertown, Mrs. Rose Montsille of Waukesha, Mrs. Minnie Sawings and Mrs. Ruby Barnhardt of Oconomowoc, Miss Ruth Otto of Milwaukee, Mrs. Margurite Looze of Beloit. He also leaves 17 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers and a host of friends.

Rev. Rostad officiated. Rev. and Mrs. Rostad sang his favorite hymns. He was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Tabernacle of Owen, Wis. Funeral services were held at Tabernacle Monday, September 23.

Pallbearers were Axel and Arvid Lindgrin, Fern Harms, Roy Anderson, Mr. Ruggles and Julius Johnson.

Sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones by friends in West Beaver.
