Mrs. Emily Mervin of Abbotsford was an over-night guest of her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich, Friday.
Mrs. Herman Marquardt of Wausau spent several days this last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Klessig.
The Ladies’ Aid of the Evangelical and Reformed church will meet with Mrs. Edwin Strade on Wed., March 6th.
Art Reinke of Hayward, a former town of Mayville resident, spent the week-end with Roy Ostenson.
Mr. and Mrs. John Cross and son of Marshfield were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Smiley on Sunday.
Mrs. L. W. Smiley was admitted to the Memorial hospital at Wausau on Monday and underwent an operation on Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Chas. Jakel and family visited her husband at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner attended the funeral of John Ramker and son Melvin at Colby on Monday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Chet Leu were entertained at supper and cards at the Ray Kobs home on Friday evening in honor of their wedding anniversary. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jake Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. George Murphy, Martha Harmel, Wayne Olson and Roy Ostenson.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner attended the wedding of their daughter, Linda, at Milwaukee on Friday. On their return home, they were accompanied by their son, Clarence Koerner, and wife who were called here by the tragic death of her father and brother, John and Melvin Ramker.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Tonn and Grandma Tonn were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kuegler of Dorchester on Sunday.
A large number of the Lutheran congregation of Curtiss and Holway attended the meeting of the Lutheran world action at Loyal on Monday evening. Rev. Langholz is pastor of the church that was host to the gathering.
Miss Myrtle Hoff spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Guyant at Eau Claire.
A party of friends entertained at a dancing party at Paul’s Tavern on Tuesday evening in honor of Ted Frane, who was celebrating his birthday anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson of Willard, and Clarence Geary visited with relatives at Westby on Sunday and Monday.
