Curtiss, Wis. - Sept. 5, 1946

Miss Loretta Smith returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Monday after having spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Smith.

Miss Myrtle Hoff left on Tuesday for St. Paul where she will teach in a Lutheran day school.

Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bartell and children of Milwaukee spent the Labor Day week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer.

Mrs. Fred Machlett, Miss Anna B. Hanson and Mrs. Norma Johnson spent Thursday at Chetek, Wisconsin, with the latter’s daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Johnson.

Miss Wanda Buss returned to Chicago, Illinois, Saturday evening after having spent a two-weeks vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Buss.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Matthias and family returned to Ashland on Thursday after having spent the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matthias.

Miss Nellie Sharp, primary teacher here, and Mrs. Allard, who lives with her are living in the vacant room of the Curtiss school building. They moved there last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Thompson were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rush at their summer home on Lake Arbustus.

Mrs. Jas. Skinner of Bloomington, Wis., and sister, Mrs. Leon Ankney of Cornell were here to attend the wedding of the former’s son, Wayne Olson and Miss Irene Schuette on Saturday.
