Unity, Wis. - Sept. 19, 1946

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kester of Wisconsin Rapids spent several days with the latter’s mother, Mrs. Edith Schjonneman.

Mrs. Julius Groenveldt and son, Arnold, of Chicago spent the past week at the Leo A. Hebert and the Wesley Jewett homes.

The Trinity ladies’ aid society met Wednesday afternoon at the church parlors. The Rev. J. A. Olson led devotions. It was voted to hold a chicken supper and bazaar October 24. An anniversary to get together was discussed but no date was set. Mrs. Gustave Carlson, Mrs. Clarence Carlson, Mrs. Clarence Edblom and Mrs. Leo Duvall were on the serving committee.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schulz returned to Milwaukee Thursday after spending a week with relatives in this vicinity.

Miss Phyllis Lynn, who had been employed at Stratford, is now at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lynn, in the town of Brighton.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dostal, Hilo, Hawaii, and Mrs. Alma Carlson of Milwaukee, are guests at the Oscar Carlson farm in the town of Brighton. Dostal expects to leave soon for the west coast to visit his relatives before returning to Hilo in October. Mrs. Dostal, the former Elsie Carlson, will remain in the States for a longer visit.

Pfc. Lloyd Ringquist, of Camp McCoy, spent a 30-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Ringquist. He is recuperating from a knee injury received several months ago and left Sunday for the Percy Jones hospital, Battle Creek, Michigan.
