Unity, Wis. - Nov. 28, 1946
A short service was held at the Trinity Lutheran church Sunday evening after which a party was given for Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wieland who plan to leave for Arizona in about a week. A pot-luck lunch was served.

The following were among those who went deer hunting: Paul A. Krueger, James Schlinger, Albert Dehn, Woodrow Domens, Wilfred Palms, Chas. Sitta, Emil H. Tober, Forrest Johnson.
Mrs. William McNeight of the town of Brighton, who underwent a major operation at the Wausau Memorial hospital several weeks ago, returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Salter spent several days at West Bend where they were called by the death of the former’s mother, Mrs. Eva Salter, age 92, who died as the result of a stroke. Miss Evelyn Salter and Theo. and Arthur Salter, the latter of Marshfield, also attended the funeral last week Wednesday at West Bend.
At the Parent-Teachers association meeting, the following committees were appointed for the next meeting: Program, Swell Cook, Miss Mildred Hetzel and Mrs. Harry Mandel; lunch, Mrs. Theodore Domer, Mrs. Harold Runge and Mrs. Louis Justman. The president announced the committees for the remainder of the school year which were posted on the bulletin board. Songs were sung by the Misses Jane Andrews and Suzanne Graves, John Trump and Ernest Messer, accompanied by Miss Maxine Morrow, all of Spencer, Wis. The other numbers on the program were solos by Sharon Olson and Rae Ann Loughead and recitations by Shirley Swan and Patricia Johnson. A talk was given by the Rev. August Quandt, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran church at Riplinger. Lunch was served following the program.
The Unity Tigers defeated Medford cagers at Medford Thursday night 53 to 25 in a fast game of basketball.
The American Legion and auxiliary sponsored a public card party at the Legion hall Thursday night. Prize winners were Mrs. E. J. Feit, Mrs. Rudolph Pfab, Mrs. Gustave Carlson, Ed Feit, Herbert Kanter and Ed Melander.
Miss Louis Luchterhand returned Monday after spending two weeks with friends in southern Wisconsin.
