Marie Sigrid Sorenson was born March 7, 1859 at Fredrickshahl, Norway and died Dec. 3, 1924, at her home at Longwood, Wisc., aged 65 years, 8 months and 27 days.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Julius Sorenson on May 17, 1880 at Christiania, Norway. The young couple immigrated to America May 21 of the same year. They came directly to their present home at Longwood where they have resided during the past 44 years.

Eight children were born to this union, three sons and five daughters. One son John and two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Erickson and Hiss Hilda Sorenson preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, two sons Carl and Henry at the family home, three daughters, Mrs. L. Jackson of Longwood, Mrs. Rudolph Erickson of Larson, Wis., and Mrs. Harold Jorenby, of Greenwood, Wis., and ten grandchildren, four sisters and one brother besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends. One sister and brother are still in Norway, one sister in Idaho, one in Washington and one in Chicago, Ill.
