Dorothy Brux

Dorothy M. Brux, 91, of Wisconsin Rapids and formerly of Greenwood, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be held at Cuddie funeral Home in Greenwood on Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Dorothy M. Brux

GREENWOOD -- Dorothy M. Brux, 91, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Greenwood, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood, Wisconsin. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood and will be from 1 a.m. until service time today at the church.

She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Amery to Edward and Elizabeth (Champeau) Belisle. She married Harlan W. Brux on June 7, 1937, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Balsam Lake. Harlan preceded her in death on April 17, 1990. The couple moved to Greenwood in 1946. A homemaker, Dorothy raised nine children of her own and Margie Rychnovsky from 10 months to six years of age.

She is survived by seven children, Kathryn (John) Horton, Madison, Dale (Nancy) Brux, Wisconsin Rapids, Janet (Garfield) Bienfang, Naperville, Ill., Judy (Larry) Boyle, Deerbrook, Monica (Randy) Lombard, Eau Claire, Alan (Michelle) Brux, Prescott, Ariz., and Mark (Susan) Brux, Wisconsin Rapids; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and her brother, Clifford (Virginia) Belisle, Sterling, Ill.

Dale: My condolences of the loss of your Mother. It is never easy as my Mother died in 2004 just before her 94th birthday, but I know she is in a better place free from the pains of earth life. I know this is late but I just found the notice on the internet searching for you. Remember Korea?
