Abbotsford, Wis. -- Sarah H. Gritzmacher, 86, of De Pere, formerly of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at the Unity Hospice Center in De Pere.

A memorial service for Sarah will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford with the Rev. Robert Everhard officiating. Inurnment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home.

The former Sarah Stelzel was born Oct. 6, 1921, in the town of Holton, daughter of Louis and Elsie (Lamer) Stelzel. Following graduation in 1939 from Dorchester High School, she moved to Wausau. Sarah and Norman J. Gritzmacher were united in marriage May 4, 1946. Norman preceded her in death in September 1988.

Sarah will be dearly missed by her daughter, Pamela (Rock) Mannigel of Pulaski; granddaughter, Sarah (Jeff) Rupple of Trempealeau and grandson, Daniel Mannigel of Holmen; great-granddaughter, Johanna Rupple.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Roy; and sisters, Florence, Rosina and Marian; and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established by the family at a later date.
