Wunsch, Rose Theresa (18 Apr. 1888 - 6 Jan. 1946)
Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Wunsch, age 57, who died January 6th, while on her way home, were held Friday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic church at Abbotsford, Rev. Francis Brockman officiating, and burial was made in the Medford cemetery. Mrs. Wunsch and her daughter, Rozella, were returning from Milwaukee when Mrs. Wunsch became ill suddenly and died of embolism on the bus near Fond du Lac. Pall bearers were Norman Merkel, Cyel Merkel, Joseph Schneider, Joseph Wunsch, Francis Wiese and Edward Berweger.
Rose Theresa Schneider was born on April 18, 1888, at St. Michael, Wis. She was married to Valentine Wunsch on Nov. 18, 1909, at Rozellville. After Mr. Wunsch died in 1937, Mrs. Wunsch continued to make her home on their farm near Tomahawk. When her oldest son, Frank, was inducted into the service three years ago, she moved to Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Alvin (Viola) Drouth, Milwaukee; Pfc. Frank Wunsch, in Germany; Ervin Wunsch, Abbotsford; Arnold, Miss Irene, Mrs. Kenneth (Marcella) Wiese, Miss Sylvia, all of Milwaukee; and Rozella, at home. There are three grand children: Shirley and Joyce Wunsch of Abbotsford and Betty Drouth, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters - Walter Schneider of Colby, John Schneider of Ashland, Matt Schneider, Mrs. Phillip Freiders and Mrs. Felix Merkel of Marshfield.
Her husband and four children preceded her in death.
