Dietrich Mueller (21 Feb. 1874 - 30 Apr. 1946)
Dietrich Mueller died at his home in the first ward in the city of Colby Tuesday morning, April 30, at 2:10 A.M., complications being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, where the body is lying in state, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. The deceased had been ill four weeks.
Mr. Mueller was born in Helsendorg, Germany, on Feb. 21, 1874, thus reaching the age of 72 years, two months and nine days. He came to the United States in August, 1883, and to the town of Colby in October, 1883, where he engaged in farming. He was married to Lydia Gundelach at Fond du Lac, Wis., on September 16th, 1908. About a year ago they retired from the farm and moved to the city of Colby, Wisconsin.
Surviving are his widow, one sister, Mrs. Louie Weller of Colby, and nieces and nephews.
Like all early pioneers, Mr. Mueller was of an industrious disposition, honest in all his dealings and of a congenial disposition.

Funeral services for Dietrich J. Mueller were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, Rev. Robert G. Leonhardt officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were William Harry, Fred Zassenhaus, Nick Schaeffer, Angus Lamont, Ernest W. Schulz and John Wolf. Those in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Wm. Harry, Mrs. Louis Becherer, Mrs. Sam Yelke, Mrs. Louie Young, and Mrs. William Beawer.
Out of town people here for the funeral were Mrs. Ida Fintheman, Elding Toedder, Mrs. Wm. Shassburg and Mrs. John Toedder of Howards Grove, Wis., Edgar Schmidt and Miss Marie Schmidt of Lomira, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Matt Lemburg, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lullrich and daughter, Helen, and Mrs. Lester Willhite of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mueller of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. John Waldonis and daughter of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gundelach and Mr. V. Gundelach and daughter, Sylvia, of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gundelach, Mrs. Meta Hamm, Chas. Schultz of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Buchholz and sons, Bobbie and Carl and Miss Fern Buchholz of Holway, Taylor county, Wis., Miss Marjorie Beawer of Stevens Point, Miss May Yelke of Chicago, August Buchholz of Curtiss and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Becherer and Mrs. Lester Willhite of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
