Hebert, David E. (1884 - 18 May 1946)
David E. Hebert, age 61, died Saturday afternoon at 12:45 o’clock at his farm home in Unity after ailing two years and after being confined to his bed about nine months. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at 9:00 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, where the body had been lying in state, and at 9:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were C. J. Kraus, Ed Feit, Paul Mais, Peter Brill, Math Allar and A. X. Umhoefer.
Mr. Hebert, who spent his entire life in the town of Unity, Clark county, was born there and was married at St. Mary’s church, Colby, to Mary Santoba, Jan. 2, 1909. Since his marriage he had resided on the same farm. He was a member of St. Mary’s church and its Holy Name Society, also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviving besides his wife are eight children, Mrs. Theodore (Elizabeth) Wagner, Stratford; Ernest Hebert, St. Paul; Francis Hebert, Unity; Clarence Hebert, St. Paul; Alfred Hebert, Unity; Mrs. Anthony (Esther) Nousse, who arrived from Santa Monica, Calif., by plane Monday; Mrs. San (Genevieve) Rossini, St. Paul; and Walter Hebert, Unity.
There are 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence and Arthur Hebert, Minneapolis, and Richard Hebert of Woodville; and two sisters, Mrs. Cora Sheane, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Marie Downe, Frisca, Texas.
