Orth, Barbara (8 Aug. 1890 - 26 Aug. 1946)

Mrs. John Orth, age 56, died of a heart attack Monday morning at the Clark county hospital at Owen. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating at the Requiem High Mass. Burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Jack Frinak, Peter Apfelbeck, George Allar, Matt Allar, C. J. Kraus and Rod Cook. The flower girls were Ann and Sandra Steinwand, Marie Frinak, Bernadet Engeldinger, Donna and Carol Miller.

Mrs. Orth, the former Barbara Miller, was born on August 8, 1890, in the town of Green Grove, Clark county, and was married at Colby on November 20, 1915, to John Orth. She was at the county hospital the past 15 years.

Surviving are her husband and two children - Mrs. Edwin (Cecelia) Lochanis and Andrew Orth of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Also three brothers - Fred of Unity, Joseph of Rib Lake and Tony of Marshfield - and three grand children.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Angus McKennon, Oscar Johnson and Miss Carrie Foster of St. Paul, Mrs. Lena Eishepk of Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. George Orth of Abbotsford, Joe Miller of Rib Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Miller and family of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Miller of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. C. Mead of Marshfield. Andrew and Cecelia, son and daughter, were not able to come.
